After the Reception, if you still have any energy left from the wedding weekend, let’s keep the party going! Simply go down one level to the Venetian Room. At the After Party, you can enjoy a variety of casino games and/or have fun continuing to dance the night away. Fun Fact: Tina Turner and other celebrities have performed in this very room (the Venetian Room at the Dallas Fairmont).

The Cocktail Hour starts at 5:00pm and is in the Foyer on the 2nd Floor of the Fairmont. The doors open at 6:00pm for the Reception in the Regency Ballroom. Bar service will be paused during dinner, so grab a cocktail beforehand or enjoy tableside wine service during the meal.

The moment (or hour) we’re all eagerly awaiting. Doors open at noon. From the Fairmont, you can walk the 4 blocks or take one of the shuttles. If you’re parking at the Cathedral, there’s underground parking available right next to the church. There’ll be plenty of great food 5:00pm onward, so eat before the Ceremony, enjoy the experience of a full Catholic Mass, and then try to build up your appetite for the Cocktail Hour, Reception, and After Party.

Our weekend’s official kickoff celebration! At the Fairmont Dallas, this event is in the Pavilion Room. Take the elevators near the Starbucks to the Terrace floor.

Athletic Attire | Pizza & Prosecco

Have you ever played against a Top 5 player in the world in any sport? Well, now’s your chance. Federico Staksrud (the #1 man in the World) and Tyra Black (the #5 woman in the World) are both coming to this event. Whether it’s asking them for autographs (feel free to bring a paddle or hat for them to sign), taking pictures, playing them, or watching them beat up on some of your friends and family, you’ll want to be here. Plus, we have all 11 courts booked, so there will be plenty of opportunities to play pickleball after you recover from being awestruck. For those who don’t yet want to reveal how awesome they are in playing pickleball, there will be plenty of space to socialize and watch the matches.

Who watched the Super Bowl? We’ll play for Michelob Ultras. Don’t worry - there’ll be Prosecco too, win or lose.

Shuttles will depart the Fairmont at 1:15pm. Pickleball is 2:00pm - 4:00pm. Shuttles will return to the Fairmont around 4:30pm.

It all starts with Mahjong! Amanda began playing Mahjong with some of her bridesmaids about a year ago, and she’s helped spread that love to her parents, her fiancé, and her future in-laws. Whether you’re new to the game or have been playing a while, we’ll have a range of skills and games. Watch out - two of her bridesmaids took home 1st and 3rd place in a recent Mahjong tournament, so you’ll have some great competition. (Side note - this is American Mahjong. If you’re new, don’t waste your time watching YouTube videos of Chinese Mahjong and learning the Mandarin characters for 1-9. We’ll have some teachers available at this event to teach you how to play the American version.) Also, continuing with the “M” theme, this happens to be the first full night of March Madness, so there’ll be TVs for people who want to watch the latest action live.
